Webdesign Pricing

(CMS) content management system websites start at $750. The $750 level includes:

• The design of the site (layout graphics/layout development)
• One of the following extra features:
  • News release with RSS
  • Blog page with RSS
  • Photo gallery
  • Links page
• Basic search engine submission and (basic non-researched) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) are also included.
• Also included is initial setup of site on live website host.
• Hosting/domain for 2years, including our setup fee.

Whichever features you decide upon, they are all easily maintained through our easy-to-use Content Management System Backend. (Read more about the Backend.)

Unless otherwise requested all of our websites are PHP-based and use MySQL databases where required. (We can design your site with any language or technology you require, such as ColdFusion, ASP, JSP, etc, however prices and time-to-completion may be higher.)

YEARLY TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE

Often our clients simply want someone to talk to about their website or to fix something that has stopped working for some unknown reason. For $100 a year we can provide technical maintenance of your site. This simply means that we will occasionally update your CMS/framework to the most recent version we've been worked on (which sometimes adds new features) and fix minor technical issues with the site that may come up, to a maximum of 5hrs of work per annum. The internet can change rapidly and sometimes these changes can break your site. We will also actually answer your emails about various issues related to your website. [insert smiley]

This does not cover any additional work to the site beyond what is reasonably necessary to keep it operating as-is nor general webmastering.  [Occasionally, 3rd party changes outside of our control may necessitate a substantial rebuild of your site which is not covered by this. For example, your MLS IDX changes to a completely new real estate feed format.] 

Additional Work

• Fully Researched Search Engine Optimization (SEO'ing) of the website costs around $300 (base, this will be higher for websites will large amounts of copytext). This involves analyzing all your potential competitors' websites, determining your target audiences and reworking all the text on your site so that it has targeted natural keyword-rich copytext arranged logically throughout. In otherwords, making it as search-engine friendly as is possible so that your site shows up closer to the top of the list when someone is searching for something that you happen to have or talk about on your site.
• We can setup and manage your hosting for you for a yearly fee. (If you really don't want to have to deal with all that technical mumbo-jumbo.) Costs include out-of-pocket hosting expenses and technical maintenance of the site. Cost will vary upon the requirements of your site and technical needs. Ask.

For all other items not covered:

• Additional short term work is billed at $40/HR.
• Longer term projects will be quoted based on $1000 to $1400 a week, depending on requirements.

We do subcontract work. If you are a webdesign group or company that is heavy on graphic designers but short on hardcore technicals or programmers, we can help.
